Driven by the beauty of nature, I connect oil to canvas to capture that essence. I’ve always been drawn to the world of art because of vibrant colors and deep texture.

Impressed upon me was the myriad of ways you can translate an image through paint. Twenty years later, painting is a moving meditation for me, where I dwell in color and shadows. Letting go of perfection, painting stimulates my mind and I wholeheartedly embrace drawing outside the lines.

The stark potential of a blank slate is an opportunity for action. My oil abstracts are created with a palette knife, while many other works I use a paintbrush. The tactile experience of spreading the beautiful buttery color on a canvas is the best, I just love it.

I took several art classes in college and beyond but am now forging my own style. I strive to be bold in creating new paintings. I draw my inspiration from the magnificent scenery of colorful Colorado.

My hope is that my paintings reflect the energy and beauty I see in the world.
